I just made this, and have yet to
try it, but I used just shy of 1/4 c tapioca
starch + 1 tbsp coconut flour instead of the
sweet potato flour since I couldn't find it here.
If right after eating you get symptoms of sleepiness, craving for coffee / stimulants, cravings for more
starches or
sweets,
try cutting the amount of
sweet potato back at next meal of mixed greens salad and chicken.
It's a pretty good place and then you can always
try adding in a little bit of safe
starch,
sweet potatoes, squash, yams, plantains.
I would imagine if you are
trying to decrease
starches, then
sweet potatoes might be a better substitute for rice and bread.
Consume moderate amounts of starchy carbs like
sweet potatoes, brown and black rice, lentils, and slow cook oats.Fruits are great choices too, but
try to consume your ripe fruits and
starches on exercise days to enhance all the benefits listed above.
If you prefer a «moderate» carb intake then
try to choose unrefined
starch sources like
potatoes,
sweet potatoes, oats, rice and other non-gluten grains.
