i'm posting this mostly to help those who are thinking about
trying a pumpkin substitution — i think there need to be
more tweaking (or, you know, just
try one

recipes on here!).

If you have some leftover rice
on hand or are craving

more exotic,
try this Japanese fried rice
recipe.
When I was growing up outside
of Detroit there was a company called Sanders and they made the best pre-maybe caramel cake and icing I've ever had in my life... This comes right underneath that... The only thing that I will do differently is I would make the frosting the day before and let it sit out in a cool place at least 24 hours... Because this allows the frosting to stiffen up even
more... Putting it
on when I did, which was like An hour or so after I made it, it's still kind
of went down the sides and onto the plate but when I went back today to get another piece and I pulled it up off the plate and re-frosted it then it stay this time... Thank you so much for this

Tried out two different
recipes to make homemade sprinkles - the first
of which I saw here, the second being a bit
more of a royal icing... The first batch [
on the right] I kept very thick, and it was firm enough to set, but ended up settling as little bubble shaped dots... does anyone out there remember the candy from the 80's that had bright dots

I've been
trying to focus
on my protein intake lately, and this is an easy
recipe to slip
more veggie protein into — I served my bowl
of curry over a bowl
of cooked quinoa and put some sprouted lentils into the curry.
Oh, and how could I have forgotten, while I was cooking all those
recipes I also made the strawberry cocktail... but instead
of the tequilla and black pepper I used a black pepper mango vodka in it's place, delicious, and I'm planning
on making the ginger lemonade cocktail tonight while I

Rosie, I'm from North Carolina, and I love good soul food, cooking, eating and feeding everybody in my Family, my sons and several adopted sons... Collards is one
of my specialties I am now living alone for the first time so its hard for me to just cook for myself, I made smothered chicken breasts, Broccoli, Mashed potatoes and a strawberry cobbler for Dessert, will be eating leftovers tomorrow and the day after lol, I can't wait to

Mikey and I have been

of our fitness kicks lately which means we've been

Although I like to
try to keep the
recipes on this site pretty simple, once in a while I like to share something a little
more challenging and outside
of the tush cook box.
I have recommended your blog
on hunch.com (a rather clever website that learns to predict your taste preferences, based
on your previous likes and dislikes), and I look forward to
trying many
more of your
recipes.
I basically stole the
recipe from this bahn mi pizza I fell in love with a few months ago (if you're not
on a diet,
try it NOW), removed the cheese and swapped out a carb - filled pizza crust base for a
more figure - friendly vessel
of lettuce.
Instead
of being upset with them for not liking my
recipes, it dawned
on me that I should just accept their taste buds for what they are and find
more mildly flavored
recipes to
try.
That
recipe looks super good I have a copy
of the book sitting
on my bookshelf — clearly I need to
try more recipes from it!
This may be the one
recipe which I can make blindly every time; but I would be
more than happy if someone thousands
of miles away from me
tries this
recipe and have a smile
on his / her face!
I have
tried a number
of riffs
on this
recipe over the years (replacing some
of the cheese with roasted butternut squash puree, replacing some
of the butter with sour cream or cream cheese, using
more eggs, fewer eggs, using whole milk or even cream in place
of evaporated milk).
This is great, I've been
trying to eat healthy and fell in love with quinoa, but as you said it's not easy to get it cooked the same as delis and resturants, I gave up and bought a rice cooker with the intent for settling
on brown rice
recipes, it cooks my rice perfect everytime.I'm running out to whole foods now excited that I can get 4 varieties or
more of organic quinoa.

of thousands
of recipes,
more than I could
try to count, and they vary greatly from quesadillas to desserts and from casseroles to breakfast dishes.
This
recipe is one
of my
more indulgent dishes, but I do
try to keep at least half my
recipes on the healthier side.

tried several

recipes to mixed reviews from my crew — some are big fans (my husband and oldest son) but the younger boys would rather eat the white flour, sugar and oil
recipes they are used too... still, I will get everyone
on board eventually, but I may need to transition them
more gradually.

I've just gone paleo, like, two weeks ago (after a brief transitional period
of trying low carb and getting sick
of recipes using artificial sweeteners and crap wherever I looked), and am still very much in the reading - up - phase, and
more or less re-learning to cook without
trying to focus
on «substituting», but
more on using what I've got and what I know will be good for me.
All
of the
recipes in my cookbooks are labeled for food combining and the meal plans in those books are all properly combined if you need some
more guidance, but the
recipes on my website are not always combined because I also
try to encourage people to simply eat
more whole foods without worrying too much about all the «rules» which can be overwhelming at times.
So excited to see you guys
trying French style
recipes, I think if I had a request it would be
more of your take
on south western european dishes (i.e. Portugal, Italy, France, Spain).
