I looked at your first book in my favourite bookstore often but I have to admit I didn't buy it (yet), but copied a lot of recipes from it (trying not to get caught by the salesgirl)... I like everything from the oven, and I like swiss breads and other things from the oven and I like ice cream and israeli meals.

She also included photos from 6 other recipes from the book that she's dying to try, and was so kind and generous in helping to showcase everything Small Bites has to offer.

I've not tried it with other recipes in the book but you can follow the proportions in the recipe for Fleur de Lait ice cream in The Perfect Scoop.

I know the brioche and sticky bun recipes are fabulous, and I love the idea of baking my way through the book in order to try all the other recipes.

The book store has gone the way of the dodo and the my copy of Olives & Oranges was donated long ago, but I still have fond memories of procrastinating homework to pore over recipes, making lists of how I should stock my humble pantry, and dog - earing just about every other page or so for recipes to try on my own or to make for Cory when we moved in together.

You can try others of my recipes in the machine, or if you try ones from that book and they don't work so well, you can return to one you know will work great.

I've also got a whole bunch of other recipes bookmarked to make in the coming weeks like Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Granola, Maple - Mustard Squash Grilled Cheese, Balsamic Beet Spread, Chickpea Crust Rainbow Alfredo Pizza (as pictured on the book's cover) & I can't wait to try the the Miso - Tahini Cookies from the desserts section.

, I'm also very excited about the other 99 recipes in the book: I've added post-it notes to quite a few of the pages because there are so many that I want to try.
