I have tried a couple of things from Zaful for reviews and think they are ok for
trying trendy items I might not otherwise.
Not exact matches
There are SO many pretty pieces but am
trying to exhibit self control since velvet is a
trendy item.
But
try to balance out any
trendy items with closet basics.
Then, we get the next
trendy item, and the cycle repeats and goes on and on and well, you get the point... So I have decided to
try adding more neutrals and classic cut pieces.
While I do like wearing some
trendy items, I
try to pick ones that work with my own style aesthetic.
I still like unique
items, but I
try not to buy something just because it's
trendy.
Or do you like
trying trendy, seasonal
items for less than you would find at a brick & mortar store?
I
try not to dish out tons of money on
trendy items because of their tendencies to have short lifespans.
But using one
item as the centerpiece among more subdued but contrasting pieces is easier;
Try the same blazer with a silky blouse (classic) and skinny jeans (
trendy), and a more modern outfit is born.
This year I really didn't have a lot of things on my own list and as a result of my shopping habits this year have
tried to focus on
items that will last a long time and that aren't too
trendy.
Think of your dining table or coffee table as an open stage ready for a new «star of the show»
try out
trendy or seasonal
items here for the most visual impact.
