tumor variation in gene expression outperformed the other methods,
including the standard method of comparing mean expression in adjacent normal and

including the growth of cancer

They observed that selected genes
including some oncogenes and
tumor suppressor genes are similarly altered in these two

including all genomic variations present in most if not all

tumor tissue, the researchers detected a total of 864 genetic changes in tissue samples across the three
tumor types, and 627 (73 %) of those were also found in the blood.
