A couple of weeks ago I was wearing a loose drapey black
tunic over wide
skirt - pants and got an excited «love your outfit» shout - out from a girl at the health food store.
It's a simple cotton
tunic over a simple khaki

I would also consider the following:
tunic type top with slim, dark jeans or pants; maxi or knee grazing dress with optional shawl, cardigan, or blazer on top; a line
skirt with structured cardigan
over a layering blouse (you could rock sandals, flats or heels with any of these looks depending on length of your bottom layer).
Speaking of great pairings, then I would love to underline short
tunics, long shirts and blouses worn
over the
skirt.

Wanting to travel lightly, I agonized
