Massachusetts moves to shut down
turbine over noise levels David Abel — Boston Globe — May 16, 2012 Step may boost wind - power foes For the first time since the state began promoting wind power, environmental officials have recommended shutting down a wind turbine because of elevated noise levels that they described as unacceptable to local -LSB-...]

The consortium points out that the speeds of
turbines on land have to be limited to minimise
noise, and that the wind flow
over water is more constant than
over land.
On the issue of health, debate will continue
over whether wind
turbines cause sickness or unnecessary
noise.
There are certain common themes that run the world
over: neighbours forced to live with incessant wind
turbine generated low - frequency
noise and infrasound suffer; and the wind industry denies all responsibility, for anything, whether caused in this world or the next.
-LSB-...] The direct link between very low - frequency
noise turbine noise, sleep disturbance and annoyance was well and truly established by Neil Kelley & Co
over 25 years ago (see posts here and here and here).
Despite these claims by the wind industry as of late 2012 there were
over a dozen peer - reviewed published papers linking wind
turbine noise with health impacts.
Noise from these massively larger turbines has increased correspondingly with low - frequency noise broadcast over a much larger area according to Danish experts Professors Moeller and Pedersen who said «It must be anticipated that problems with low - frequency noise will increase with even larger turbines.&r

To help address public concern
over these health effects Health Canada (HC) announced the Health Canada Wind
Turbine Noise and Health Study (HC Study) 2 years ago and brought forth preliminary results November 6, 2014.
**** The wind industry has known about, attempted to cover up and lied about the adverse health effects caused by incessant
turbine generated low - frequency
noise and infrasound for
over 30 years; and knowing full - well that the dB (A) weighting is irrelevant to measuring the low - frequency
noise spectrum, wrote their own «rules» that even make the risible -LSB-...]
These megaturbines are reported to be emitting more low - frequency
noise (LFN) than smaller models, and this causes more people to be affected, and
over greater distances, by the usual symptoms of the wind
turbine syndrome: insomnia, headaches, nausea, stress, poor ability to concentrate, irritability, etc, leading to poorer health and a reduced immunity to illness.
The V2
turbines are made from steel and aircraft - grade aluminum, are said to be quiet (less than 5 decibels
over ambient
noise levels), vibration - free, safe for birds and bats, and need no grid power to start spinning.
