turkey meat mixture.

The
mixture helps keep the
turkey meat nice and moist.
I used ground beef, you could use sausage, ground
turkey, a
mixture of it all, no
meat, whatever you like.
Prepare the
turkey nuggets by first dredging the
meat in the egg (or) oil
mixture, and then place it in the flour
mixture, tossing around until coated, and putting on a plate.
Evenly distribute half of the herb - ghee
mixture underneath the skin of the
turkey onto the breast
meat.
You could substitute the beef / pork / veal
mixture with other
meats like ground
turkey or chicken.
Step 1: Place lean ground beef /
turkey or chicken into a mixing bowl Step 2: Add the cereal and wheat germ to the
meat and combine Step 3: Add pureed veggies and / or fruit to moisten the
mixture — as much as needed to moisten and bind the
mixture Step 4: Mix together as you would when making «adult» meatballs.
To the
meat mixture I also added fresh onions, chives, garlic and ground cumin, coming together to make the most flavorful, moist,
turkey burgers I've ever had, especially when the sliders were topped with the Chipotle mustard to round out the southwestern flavors.
Wonder if anyone has tried different
meats like a
mixture of ground beef and
turkey, etc?
2 cups cooked, diced
turkey meat (I used a
mixture of white and dark
meat) 3/4 cup coarsely chopped red onion 3/4 teaspoon sea salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon dried sage 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 2 eggs Dash of hot sauce (optional)
Turkey stuffing (optional) note: haven't tried this so not sure of quantity.

mixture together — making sure to break up the
turkey meat as it cooks.
To keep it moist and flavorful (since ground
turkey is known for being pretty bland), I added sauteed vegetables to the
meat mixture before making the patties.

Meat Mixture: * 1 - 2 lbs of ground beef or ground
turkey * 1 small can black olives * 1/2 cup salsa * 1 13oz can of spinach (or approx 2 cups fresh / cooked) * 1/2 tsp Garlic salt * 1/2 tsp Onion powder * dash of pepper * 1/2 tsp Franks Hot Sauce
In a large fry pan, cook the ground
turkey with all above spices listed for the
meat mixture.
Even meatballs can be made over with a
mixture of chopped veggies,
turkey meat (use a blend of
turkey and beef to help transition really picky eaters), and a healthy tomato sauce on top; look for brands like Amy's Kitchen, which don't list sugar at the beginning of the ingredient list.
Carefully separate the skin of your
turkey from the flesh and work the fat
mixture between the skin and flesh using your hands to massage the
mixture as far up on the breast and thigh
meat as you can without tearing the skin.
I was shocked when I started stirring my
turkey and sweet potato
mixture and discovered the sweet potato started to turn mushy, but then I took a little spoonful and realized that this is probably my new favourite way to enjoy taco
meat.
