The supplement was an
extract of

Curcumin supplements are now becoming available; these may not always be
extracted from
Turmeric.
While
turmeric is excellent when used as a spice, a
curcumin extract is a better choice for health benefits.

So while there is evidence suggesting depression could be an allergic reaction to internal irritation, other studies suggest that supplementing with omega - 3 and
curcumin (an

turmeric) could ease issues in the gut in much the same way as NSAIDs.
Curcumin can be acquired by consuming
turmeric in the diet, however it is important to combine with black pepper, a healthy fat, and a bit of heat in order to
extract the full benefits.
Honestly, if you want the maximum therapeutic benefits of
turmeric, a supplement of
curcumin extract is going to be your best bet since it's ultra concentrated and more bioavailable.

Regarding the dosage of
curcumin in treating arthritis, some researchers recommend 8 — 60 g of fresh
turmeric root three times daily, [3] while others suggest the active
extract,

curcumin has to offer, you will want to look for a
