I started making this
turmeric tea for its beneficial properties, and now it is one of my favorite daily rituals - made from a honey
turmeric paste
with lots of lemon juice and freshly ground black pepper.
This soothing drink is perfect to wake you up on an early morning, relax

Besides drinking
turmeric tea (I really like this one) and making
turmeric curries (I've been enjoying this one lately), I've also been experimenting
with adding
turmeric to fresh juice.
It's made
with water, ginger,
turmeric, a green
tea bag, salt, and honey.

turmeric root for 5 minutes and strain, sweeten
with honey or stevia for on powerful detoxifying
tea.
Indulge it

~ 2 tablespoons olive oil ~ 1 large clove garlic, sliced ~ pinch red pepper flakes or more to taste ~ 1 teaspoon each
turmeric and curry spice blend ~ 1 teaspoon salt ~ 1/4 cup peanut butter powder ~ 1/2 cup water, stock or unsweetened
tea ~ 1 each zucchini and summer squash, sliced thin
with a vegetable peeler or spiralized ~ 1/2 cup bell peppers of choice (I used four mini sweet bell peppers)
Turmeric is also a great addition to curries, soups, roasted veggies and ginger
tea; I often cook my grains
with a few dashes too, waking up pale rice, quinoa and millet
with a golden glow.

Turmeric tea is fantastic and the combinations
with other healing spices endless...
My favourite
tea is golden milk, made
with creamy oat milk,
turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and a bit of honey for sweetness!
Rather than adding the ginger and
turmeric honey bomb to
tea (40º C is not
tea weather), I added the juice of the lemon as well and have been having it in soda water
with ice.
Schwartz is effusive about every company he mentions, from Big T NYC, a «couture
tea» company, to Golde, which makes
turmeric blended
with powdered coconut milk and black pepper.

While black pepper can help
with absorption, a lot of the beneficial compounds (curcuminoids) in
turmeric are fat soluble - so adding coconut milk or another good fat to this
tea would greatly help the bio-availability and effectiveness.

tea as I write.
I like
tea and often make a big cup of herbal
tea (
turmeric ginger is nice) and take it to bed
with me.
When I start to get a cold I usually go for home made ginger
tea with a bit of lemon, honey and cayenne... I didn't know I could add
turmeric into the mix -LRB-:

with warm milk instead of water) and it completely quelled the cough.
