California company Monkeylectric wants to electrify your next bike ride with technology that combines art and science to
turn bicycle wheels into spinning works of art.

Some argue the rotating
wheels act like a gyroscope to help the
bicycle correct itself; others believe the «trail» (the angle between a bike's steering axis and its point of contact with the ground) forces the bike into a stabilizing
turn.
Push a
bicycle over to the left and the rapidly spinning front
wheel will
turn left, potentially keeping the
bicycle upright.
We use the same principle to steer a
bicycle — the rider
