Someone in the yoga scene recently drove this home for me; choose the one project you most want to initiate and complete, then give yourself an hour or two a day and NOTHING ELSE for that period of time,
completely eliminating all other distractions (yes, that means
turn off the phone and Facebook
notification!).
The only settings that are customisable in relation to difficulty levels are for the in - game user interface as you can have a standard setting that allows you to have access to more feedback when you make important moral choices and help in regards to highlighting any areas of interest, while the minimal setting will
completely turn off any hints, help and choice
notifications.
You can tell Chrome to automatically display
notifications from all sites or to alert you when a site wants to show you
notifications and of course, you can
turn notifications off completely.
Note, you can still make these changes on a Lollipop device for a more fine - grained approach than simply
turning all
notifications off completely.
If you want to hide the suspend button but not
turn it
off completely it's possible to do this just by long pressing on it which will make it retreat to the
notification shade.
There is an option on Mi 4 that allows you to change the change the
notification light as well as
turn it
off completely.
There's more control over your
notifications in Android Nougat too, as you can now long - press on a
notification to either silence future
notifications, or
turn them
off completely.
Prior to iOS 8, you had to
turn off various settings to
completely disable
notifications from an app.
Annoyingly, I can't find a way to
turn it
off in
Notification Center without disabling it
completely.
On the opposite end of the spectrum are professionals who
completely turn off all
notifications during crunch time.
