type of miles does not necessarily mean you're limited to one airline.

Another point in favor
of cash back over airline
miles has to
do with how flexible these
type of rewards tend to be.
With the Chase Sapphire Preferred getting rid
of its 7 %
miles dividend at the end
of this year, we don't see the same
type of long - term potential for dedicated Southwest flyers.
As it is not directly affiliated with the airline, the Chase Sapphire Preferred simply can not give its users the same
type of loyalty benefits (outside
of earning
miles) that the Southwest credit cards
do.
This suggests the bank has found some niches with good returns somewhere in between the territories staked out by other

do this because it has learned some lessons from walking a few

While the Citi Diamond Preferred Card
does not offer any

I spend an inordinate amount
of time with them and I take them everywhere I go: when I am on a date, they will be there too; they are with me all day when I go from house to house to give lessons; they are my «business card» when I give a seminar or need to show a customer how to
do a certain exercise; they are my advertising when I want to show people my skills and knowledge; they often will sleep on my bed; they will climb in my lap when I am
typing away at my computer; they will go on every vacation I take (at 2 years
of age, Dillon, my Doberman, had over 50,000
miles on him, going everywhere, from Seattle to Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone, British Columbia, Banff and Jasper, Los Angeles, and all points in between... and about 200,000
miles on him when he passed away at 6 years
of age).
You can fly Air France, KLM or any Flying Blue partner airline, however this must be a mileage - earning flight (award flights and certain other
types of tickets
do not earn
miles).
Also,
miles SAAver availability on American Airlines (the
type of award availability you'll need if you're to use Avios to book) is not good at all so don't consider buying Avios in this promotion unless you can already see award availability for your dates online.

The other
type of person that will benefit from this card is someone who would qualify for Delta Medallion status based on
miles or segments, but doesn't spend enough money to hit the Medallion Qualification Dollar requirement.
You don't have to have your cards with you to register as you're given the option to sign in using your Amex log on and, if you have more than one card earning a given
type of points /
miles, you can elect to enroll those together.
I think this method is for three
types of people: 1) people that don't want to leave their computer to earn
miles; 2) people that are fine earning the simple credit card bonuses and would just like to meet the minimum spend requirement without gift cards; 3) sports fans that could actually break even or make money using this method.
There's nothing wrong with
doing that — I've
done it myself — but keeping mileage costs squared away helps when you go to redeem by giving you your own personal value for each
type of mile.
Not only
do you earn two
miles per dollar spent, but you have the flexibility to use them for any
type of travel — with no blackout dates and no hassles.
Many hotel and other programs run promotions that earn extra bonus
miles / points when paying with a particular
type of credit card so
do as the Boy Scouts
do and always be prepared.
These shopping bonuses are the perfect
type of offers to
do some needed online shopping and keep your
miles from expiring.
Don't just pay attention to the number
of miles you have, but more importantly, focus on the
TYPE of miles you have.
There's plenty for non-surfers to
do as well; the city's 13
miles of white sandy beaches are perfectly suited to sunbathing, beach combing, and almost every
type of water sport.
