type recipes because these are the ones I most often cook myself!
I am hesitant to try cheese
type recipes because really so many don't taste that great.

During my month of non-blogging (which feels suspiciously like it's morphing into two months of non-blogging, except that I'm
typing this right now) I did re-photograph some old
recipes, but then as I was placing the new photos into the old blog posts I found that it's honestly easier to write a whole new post
because I used to write my
recipes into the post rather than a focused
recipe.
It sounds a little like the sponge cakes my mum bakes - when my sister and niece were diagnosed as celiac this was one of the first
recipes my mum made for them
because they have so little flour it was easy to de-glutenise - not really my favourite
type of cake and yet they make me so nostalgic that I sometimes fine them irresistable
I've held off on sharing some of my more «everyday»
type meals (and
recipes), in part
because there is often not much to them, and
because sometimes they are a bit... er, random.
Evidently I was not the first person to eat them with gusto and want the
recipe to recreate the chocolate experience at home
because Claire the owner when asked for the
recipe just opened a drawer and whipped out a
typed copy.
And
because I've decided that if I post a «not so healthy
recipe» of something, then I have to follow up with a healthy version of that same
type of food.
Initially I wasn't sure if I was going to post these Vegan Pistachio Lemon Truffles on the blog
because the internet is just so full of these
types of
recipes... but after we tried them, we just knew that they HAD to be featured on the blog so that we could share it with you crazy people.

My easy beginner soap
recipe also uses only olive oil and coconut oil
