The electric motor and other components easily fit into the engine bay, which has been designed for different types of powerplants.

Electric motors are also relatively compact and can easily be packaged within the type of multi-link rear axle used by the new Focus.

I'm not as familiar with electric motorcycles but I'd say that depending on what type of motor it is, they could be similar (just larger and more powerful for the motorcycle due to high speeds and more weight).
