There are lots of other
types of sweeteners not listed here that can be used in brewing Kombucha — brown rice syrup, glucose, sorbital, dextrose etc..
These types of sweeteners not only impart flavor to the food, but can also be metabolized for energy.

I have used this
type of sweetener and chocolate chips with success, but
not this particular recipe for the milk... yet.
With no sucrose at all (or a
type of sweetener that ends in «ose») the ingredients don't react properly or cook right, so I always have to put a little in, such as agave nectar.

We do
not add
sweeteners, fillers, chemicals, clays, abrasives, or any
type of synthetic or unnatural ingredients.
For the
sweetener, I used NuNaturals plain white stevia extract (nothing added,
not the packets or white powder) so be sure if you use another brand or
type of cocoa and stevia that there are no additional ingredients in the brands you choose.
Moreover, when you consume those
types of juices, extra
sweeteners and additives are added, which is
not the case for whole fruits.
