best is A — and
noise 69 (the lower the
better.
The ride feels particularly
well - judged for the motorway, and it's ultra-refined at speed - though again, on UK roads we'd expect a little more
tyre noise than we heard on the smooth autobahns.
So although the RC is no back - road blaster, it's a supremely accomplished motorway cruiser, insulating you from bumps and ruts in the road — as
well as wind and
tyre noise — very
well.
These other two main
noise sources are
well controlled though, aided by the previously mentioned low - rolling resistance
tyres and aerodynamic shape.

At lower speeds there was some
tyre noise penetrating as
well.
With a new engine management developed from Formula 1 technology and revised induction system and liquid cooled turbocharger intercooler the car was a true sports car - no «Silent Sports Car» though with the engine being audible as
well as some
noise from the
tyres to be detected.
There is more
tyre noise on country roads at speeds of up to around 80km / h; beyond that the roads are usually
better sealed and the wind and driveline make more of an impact.
The
tyre noise is
well within limits and the wind
noise is almost nil even at very high speeds.
Audio heard in WRC 7 is authentic, as its visuals are, from the
noise of a vehicle crashing into a rock wall to smashing into a tree, even the sound of the gravel beneath your
tyres sounds like it would in real life, but the
best sounds you'll hear is the turbo engines and the mighty exhausts.
