track the Urus — now on 22 - inch wheels with a Corsa
tyre — is a freak, storming down the straights and able, at least for small numbers
of laps at a time, to brake late into corners.
Novices should be able to navigate most
tracks unscathed and there are plenty
of driving aids to help out, but more experienced players, having turned off all the assists, will quickly identify the fiery temperaments
of some vehicles and have to keep on top
of tyre slip and weight transfer.
It's still a bit too much
of a brute, and you can imagine your rear
tyre and front brake bills being astronomical if you spent much time on
track.
The wider rear
track must count for something, but more likely it's the optional Corsa
tyres that make the difference, this being one
of the rare occasions where a stickier, more robust
tyre actually makes the car more enjoyable to drive — in the dry, at least.
The Senna GTR's chief weapon is likely to be the sheer amount
of grip it can generate on the race
track, partly attributable to a new design
of wheel shod with Pirelli slick
tyres, its revised suspension and wider
tracks.
On cold
tyres and with the air temperature only just in positive figures, the Jaguar's tail is happy to step well out
of line through the first couple
of tight corners, if you've slackened the DSC to its nicely judged «
track mode» or switched it off altogether.

track is broad and with a big, sticky
tyre right at the extremity
of each corner.
Perhaps that's because the PASM dampers work so well, rediscovering some
of the suppleness
of the first GT3 and coupling that to a vast increase in grip thanks to the wider
tracks, improved suspension design and huge
tyres (305/30 ZR19s at the rear).
