Looked at that way, the essential content
of revelation, or perhaps the very
nature of God (whatever is the
ultimate «subject
matter» or «object»
of the inquiry) dictates certain methods and movements
of thought which, if followed, denominate the inquiry as «theology.»
I prefer to speak
of the «protopsychic
nature or essence»
of the so - called «
matter,» the «
ultimate last.»
When it comes to
matters of human
nature, emotions, relationships, and
ultimate meaning they have remained the same throughout history.

of metaphysics called ontology, to engage with modern scientific thought.

The results, slow or sudden, or great or small,
of the combined optimism and expectancy, the regenerative phenomena which ensue on the abandonment
of effort, remain firm facts
of human
nature, no
matter whether we adopt a theistic, a pantheistic - idealistic, or a medical - materialistic view
of their
ultimate causal explanation.
What could quarks and gluons possibly have in common with
nature's
ultimate trash compactors — ultradense concentrations
of matter whose gravitational field is so powerful it curves space - time around itself, trapping anything that crosses its surface?
They cluster in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment to forge new, mind - bending ideas about the
ultimate nature of our universe, from space and time to
matter and information.
