Such technology could cut acid rain — causing sulfur dioxide emissions by
more than 90 percent, smog - forming nitrogen oxides by 75 percent, and —
ultimately — capture
more than 80 percent of the CO2 normally
produced by combustion, storing it in nearby depleted
oil fields by 2015.
