jacket (

Before my trip, I hit up Old Navy and Forever 21 for some great basic items,
like cotton dresses for hot days and graphic tees that worked well
under jackets and chambray shirts!
It's the right amount of stretch without looking
like a tent, though I would definitely wear this
under a sweater or
jacket and keep my sides covered.
I really
like the look of the longer top
under the shorter
jacket; it breaks up the denim on denim look.

# 2 Versatile Knits: This is an area I'm lacking in recently but having a good set of knits to wear on their own and
under cardigans or
jackets are so critical for all you casual gals
like myself.
The reason I threw caution to the wind for this one, is because (one) I was in a hurry, (two) with a piece
like this at a cost
like this, I knew if the fit wasn't right for it to wear alone I could still work it in over shirt /

I have this dress (size large) and its black on white pattern is stunning, especially
under a leather
jacket like this one in bordeaux or perhaps this one in green.
But the best part is, unlike a
jacket that can feel confining with too many layers stuffed
under or inadequate (or just basic) without, it's room leaving you completely unencumbered and yet it's genius at disguising whatever's underneath — a ratty tee worn sans bra on a coffee run, a bump you'd
like to keep away from prying eyes, or a bulge you'd rather not see.
The great thing about a
