the under display fingerprint sensor will be slightly slower to unlock the device.
The Vivo X20 Plus UD is expected to be the same Vivo X20 launched last year, but features
the under display fingerprint sensor.
With the Vivo X21 UD, the company is making few improvements to
the under display fingerprint sensor for faster unlocking time.
The X20 Plus UD is the first ever commercial smartphone to feature
the under display fingerprint sensor.
Apart from
the under display fingerprint sensor on the X21 UD, there are not other changes between the two variants of the Vivo X21 smartphones.
Interestingly, Vivo had previously shown a concept last year featuring
an under display fingerprint sensor made by Qualcomm.
Still, we can assume the smartphone will be carrying
the under display fingerprint sensor which was made by Synaptics.
After Vivo launched the first smartphone with
an under display fingerprint sensor, it looks like Samsung will also be launching the same this year.
The Vivo X21 features the traditional fingerprint sensor at the back of the smartphone while the Vivo X21 UD comes with
an under display fingerprint sensor like the Vivo X20 Plus UD which the world's first smartphone with this tech.
Apart from
the under display fingerprint sensor, the Vivo X20 Plus UD might pack same specifications as on the Vivo X20Plus.
