Carefully pull out the foil strips
from under the cake, revealing clean edges of the cake platter.
Be sure to place wax paper strips
under you cake as this icing can get messy if you are like me and are short on patience!
Put four strips of foil all around the cake, going about 1
inch under the cake and covering the edges of the cake platter.
Be ready with a second piece of foil, and slice the original piece out
from under the cake (replace with fresh foil).

Slide a 9 - inch / 23 - cm cardboard cake

As Lucy tried to get a taste, her paw accidentally hit the stove knob and turned on the gas burner that was
under the cake pan.
Tuck wax (greaseproof) paper strips 1 in (2.5 cm) or
so under the cake all the way around to keep the plate clean.
