underage shelter kittens, and spending time outdoors with her adopted shelter dogs.

Of the 7,600 cats and dogs killed in L.A. city
shelters in 2016, more than 2,600 were

shelter population most at risk in the Los Angeles area so we put a LOT of resources into our
kitten foster program.
Hundreds of
underage kittens and friendly nursing cats find themselves at the
shelter every year and the
shelter is desperate to find foster homes able to care for them until they are old enough for adoption.
With the
kitten foster program, for example, you can ask people to bring litters of
underage kittens to you rather than to the
shelter where they would be killed.
Kitten season is starting and thousands of
underage kittens will be entering animal
shelters across the country.
