Though Jacob's Ladder is still one of the more
underrated films on this list, it's still holds a huge sway on the horror genre, having inspired the Silent Hill game franchise, American Horror Story: Asylum, and more.
To that end, I think I may have

If that is the case, that adds a level of excitement to Infinity as the studio is responsible for the
underrated Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 console games, which went well beyond bringing the Pixar worlds to the gaming scene — they were each rather large in scope, had great replay value and shattered the idea that games based
on films had to be subpar.
The Man Who Wasn't There is an
underrated beauty from the Coens and encompasses every single, possible
film noir trope, but twists it around and becomes a stamped
on Coen-esque visionary nightmare.
He's already taken
on such staples as the youth movie (Dazed and Confused), the romantic love story (Before Sunrise), and the western and crime movie (The Newton Boys); the last two — emotionally as well as visually lavish reworkings and rethinkings of Hollywood splendors — are probably his two most
underrated films.
There are some action adjacent flicks
on the list below, but add to that the best Fast and Furious
film in 11 years with The Fate of the Furious, the criminally
underrated John Wick 2, the rightfully beloved Wonder Woman, the kickass spy beats of Atomic Blonde, the daft so bad it's good silliness of Geostorm along with the more cerebral crime action found in the Safdie Brothers» Good Time.

on the ultra-controlled, wildly
underrated Peter Cain, Galerie Lelong presented a display of Ana Mendieta's vital
films, Metro Pictures showed deep cuts by Bas Jan Ader, Craig F. Starr delivered a master class
on Sylvia Plimack Mangold's early paintings of floors and rulers, Hauser & Wirth hosted not one but two incredible Philip Guston shows (the second, of Nixon drawings, is still
on view, offering psychic balm in these dark times), Questroyal organized a jam - packed assemblage of paintings by the indefinable American mystic Ralph Albert Blakelock, and Jeffrey Deitch brought the traveling retrospective of the Pictures Generation original Walter Robinson to Robinson's hometown.
