Just because it's technologically possible to push out then patch a buggy and / or unfinished game doesn't make it right.
Studio Wildcard selling a finished piece of DLC for an unfinished game didn't go over so well with much of the game's fan base.

does some things well, it just seemed

do enjoy a lot of Sonic fan
games out there, many of them feel more like rehashes of the classic
games or just demos /

unfinished game is new and they certainly didn't spell it out at the point of sale when I got a copy for my nephew.

does, sometimes (like in the case of Minecraft) you get the instant gratification of an

Double Fine didn't have a long and storied history of this (Brutal Legend got dropped and then had lawsuits filed over this very type of behavior, and most of Double Fine's

unfinished), and b.) Double Fine hadn't just completed a Kickstarter for another
game a week and a half before announcing this.
Also available are some of the less - graphically intensive
games from the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, like Nidhogg, The
Unfinished Swan, and Don't Starve.
