Deeper Class Customization — All Trovians level 10 or higher may now designate a Subclass to
unlock passive skills and stat bonuses.

After each battle at camp, players can also upgrade their characters with different Crests made with materials they find on the field,
unlocking new combos;
passive skills and effects; and character exclusive
skills that can only be constructed through items obtained by building up support relationships with other characters.
The progression system still uses Star Cards, which grant you either new
skills, weapons, or
passive abilities, but now they have to be
unlocked and upgraded by using
Skill Points which are earned every time you level up.
Following this quest chain will
unlock potent new Apex
Skills for six of the game's classes, while the other six will get their own Apex
Skills at a later time but still earn the benefit of a new
passive that ramps up their overall damage output.
Equip different amulets to
unlock different
passive skill sets for your onmyoji as well.
The included
skill tree
unlocks a wide variety of abilities and
passive perks, and there aren't enough skillpoints to
unlock everything, so each character can feel even a little more personal based on how you've customized their attributes.
As you level and explore you'll gain App points that allow you to
unlock more options in battle and in fusions, more
skill slots, increases in strength to your demons, and general
passives.
When levelling you are assigned two points to spend to work your way along a
skill tree
unlocking skills and
passive abilities.
As players level up, new active and
passive abilities are
unlocked and can be placed on any of the
skill buttons.
Equipment that characters find will have special
skills and
passive abilities that can be
unlocked by matching various combinations on a rune board.
With this update general Stone gains access to a
skill tree that allows him to
unlock passive and active abilities which players can buy alongside weapons and ammo in the shop.
Rise to new heights of power with an increased level cap, taking your hero to 70 and
unlocking new
skills (as well as a fourth
passive slot) along the way.
Additionally, you can spend Force Crystals to
unlock and power up your magic techniques, which come in both
passive abilities that can benefit the entire party to elemental
skills you use in combat.
After a while you will level up and
unlock various
skills — some are
passive, others offer new moves — that play into the story of Jason's progression.
