unprecedented» considering that by comparison, there are larger
temperature swings than noted
in the study by the Brown University group.
This sharp,
unprecedented rise
in the average global
temperature during the last decade of the 20th century can not be explained as a temporary
swing produced by natural causes alone, and its is very likely that heat - trapping waste gases are at least partly responsible for it.
