When you click the button it will take you directly to the next
unread item in your subscription list.
You already get alerts in the pull - down notifications shade at the top of the screen, but with Android Oreo, you'll see a dot appear next to an app icon that tells you you have
an unread item.
When hitting «u» shortcut key for next unread, it took you to another feed instead of the next
unread item in the current feed.
Another issue is that once feeds are collected in folders, there is no indication at the folder level that there are
unread items — either in the desktop version of Outlook or the iPhone email embedded RSS folders.
I never use «
All Unread Items» though.

The update also gives users the ability to filter news content from specific channels or simply
unread news, which should help with organizing news
items, especially since they can get cluttered real fast.

By the end of the week its stacked with mail,
unread newspapers, magazines, mending,
items to return, etc. etc..
