The applications judge rejected the appellants» application to quash the production order, and placed a temporary non-publication order on
the unredacted information in the police material, which had been under a sealing order.
Especially with the concerns about Pacer, which is terrible when it comes to
unredacted information.
However, the application judge also made some of
the unredacted information subject to a temporary non-publication order, thereby preventing the press from disseminating that information to the public.
Third is that the document was in fact classified to the proper level and the table with
the unredacted information had a higher marking.
