unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show,
short for Sport Veloce the Diablo SV was
in fact the entry level model, a lightweight version of the Diablo 2WD that was developed with racing
in mind (
in 1996 the Diablo SV - R became a reality), hence the alcantara interior, special rear wing and air intakes to draw cool air straight into the V12 engine compartment... the Diablo SV quickly became a very popular model, and by the time the MY1999 with the fixed headlights took over production of the original Diablo 2WD was halted
in favor of the Diablo SV, which also featured rear wheel drive only
while the Diablo VT was a four wheel drive version.
