I just loaded
up on cashew butter (they were on major sale at Whole Foods this week) so I'm toooootally going to make these.
/ / Next time I go to Trader Joe's, I need to stock
up on cashews to make An Edible Mosaic's coconut and vanilla cashew mix.
I'll definitely be making these again, though next time I think I'll double
up on the cashew cream and the sauce.
My version said that all nuts but pistachios were OK, so I had been loading
up on cashews «cause I love them, or that garlic and onion powder were OK, just not the real thing.

Imagine my surprise when at a food event this April I stumbled upon
cashew cheese.The unique aspect about the Beyond Better ® product I picked
up is that it is the only dried version
on the market, making it a simple option to pack with you that requires only water for reconstitution.
Not real food and I know I could have done a better job of picking items from the grocery store down there, but this is what we ended
up with: our own water bottles, apples from home, turkey and cheese sandwiches
on (white) hoagie buns, dry roasted
cashews, pretzels, granola bars, grapes, and Mounds candy bars that my husband brought with us.
I have yet to try a
cashew based ice cream — next
on my list once it warms
up a little more and I break out the ice cream maker again Ha that's so funny, I actually find raspberries much sweeter and yummier fresh than frozen.
One thing I didn't do that I thought might be nice was to whip
up a batch of
cashew cream to throw
on top of these.
Toss in a little coconut oil and
cashew (or any other non-dairy milk) to mix things
up and you are all set to a healthy, fibre - rich breakfast

Soaked
cashews are combined with seasonings and spicy peppers in a blender until smooth and then put
on the stove top to heat
up.
I say accidentally because it was supposed to be with different ingredients like
cashews and dried cherries, which I didn't have, so I subbed some toasted quinoa (which
up until then I was a stranger to, but I had some
on hand from a recent shopping trip to my local Winco) and used sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, oats, raisins, peanut butter, honey and sea salt.
I haven't really caught
on to the
cashew milk thing, though I've been tempted to pick
up a carton at the supermarket.

on the same cooking wavelength here, as I have been dreaming
up a cardamom spiced dessert involving

cashew butter train before this, mostly because I've had mixed results blending
up my own nut butters in the past.
So, while it's nice to have soaked
cashews on hand, be careful that you don't end
up having to toss them out as a result of them soaking for too long.
