In so far as people in our
culture act in segmentalized roles are defined and required by organized groups able to apply social and economic power, the church that makes no demands
upon its members, gives them no stronghold from which to fight, and is afraid to use its own
institutional power when it is necessary is simply eliminated from the struggle.
