I feel like they always have the best
recipes because they have to sort through thousands
upon thousands of
recipes and choose only a select few that are the best to feature in their magazine every month.
Of course, I act surprised, perhaps
because once
upon a time it truly seemed that cooked
recipe could not be improved
upon if one tried, and yet I'm not.
Well, my «once
upon a time» was just a couple of weeks ago, I did meet Crescent at the North End, and while those
recipes all sound too exotic and intimidating, they are not —
because they are bound by the versatile, economical, beloved bean.
These little rhubarb tarts more or less forced themselves

recipe that glares at me from my nightstand, and
because following our first farmers» market trip, my countertop became a holding place (by holding place, I mean they sat there for exactly 1 hour, if that) for two beautiful bunches of rhubarb.

Because of that, it was pretty simple to build

I can't eat beef
because of the pretty moo - cows but I can create copycat
recipes that once
upon a time would have contained meat in this house.
I personally prefer to use them over flax
because of their gelling ability and
because they don't have a strong taste, which can be distracting depending
upon the other flavors in the
recipe.
