With the appliances taking up the most of the space, which included a double oven and tall refrigerator, a «bridge» with
upper cabinets had to be installed.

have chosen everything except the backsplash / wall material (we
have windows and
upper white
cabinets to the ceiling on most walls, but need a durable material behind the cooktop and between the
uppers and lowers in 3 locations).
the real wood
cabinets off white, took out the peninsula, re-used the
uppers along the now empty wall with a shelf below that my husband created (the guy who says he
has no design sense) and the whole thing turned out Better than my vision!
(I
have a corner sink with 2 windows and a shorter counter space to the right of it but it's going to look so much more open without that

upper cabinets are so low to the counters that you can't put any appliances under them.
