In my department there are a high number of patients with hand and
upper limb problems referred to the rehabilitation from orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, rheumatologists, neurologists and hand surgeons.
Usually, an
upper arm will be affected first, followed by a femur or ulna, and often the
problem will appear in another bone in the original
limb or its partner.
