You should be sat fully
upright with your
bottom tucked well into the
seat.
I'm doing squats, ez bar curls, dumbbell bench and bent rows one day... and deadlifts,
seated press and shoulder - width
upright rows only to
bottom rib on the next day.
Knees will be only slightly
upright, so Chevrolet has not had to scoop out the
bottom of the back
seat and have you sit close to the floor for that decently ample headroom.

seat bottoms are folded back and stored
upright.
