Her research is based on a critic, philosophic, aesthetic and poetic investigation of the urban landscape through a dialogic approach between the images of the city and the surfaces and the media chosen to materialize it.

All three videos extracted images from an urban or domestic environment, whether it was pulsing lights atop Ponte City intercut with a haiku - type poem, a domestic heater slowing glowing red and fading, or a body of water shot from an increasing distance until it came to resemble television static.

Although the Bronx is considered one of the most diverse communities in America, its image has been largely defined by the urban blight that the city endured during the late 1960 ′ s through the 1980 ′ s when arson, drug addiction, and social neglect decimated many of its neighborhoods.

First working with photographs of her native city, she moved on towards textile - based pieces and sculptural works where she reduced urban images to colours and geometric forms.

He tested how people reacted to images of natural and urban settings, and concluded that natural views had more positive influences on psycho - physiological states than photographs of cities.
