An excess of fructose sugar in your diet isn't good for your health because it is processed differently to other sugars,
where it's metabolised by the liver and can increase fatty
acids in your blood and increase
uric acid levels amongst a whole host of other things.
Sadly, the RCTs looking at how this effected long term clinical outcomes had mixed results: there were some studies
where glycemic control was improved but other metabolic parameters and outcomes
where not as positive (i.e.
uric acid levels, etc).
