Besides the different areas each level also contain
usable level items such as a neon sign you can throw at your opponent or a giant laser beam you can use to burn your enemies.

It seems we'll be afforded a new
level of customizability in terms of our gear and weapons via mods and shaders that seem to be
usable on individual
items of gear.
That being said, the story mode does have a mild
level of replay ability through means of being given the option to play two player co-operatively with a friend, having the chapters littered with collectable
items usable in multiplayer and by being given a selection of different difficulty
levels.
Three of those weapon types are used whilst underwater (mercifully, you begin the game with a breathing apparatus that allows you to move freely underwater with no breath
level or other enforced time limit), and there are
items to be found throughout the environment which have their own set of skills (for example, a Hazmat Suit bestows 6
usable skills when equipped).
The chance of getting any real
usable item drops are abysmal, because the game developers have never put any time into developing endgame content that is engaging, and would lose half their playerbase if said playerbase wasn't spending so much time
leveling and acquiring resources.
