I use AIOS when I am out because they fit better under clothes and are less bulky and use pockets and prefolds at home.
But we are home so little that we mostly
use AIOs.
Sometimes,
we use AIOs and Pockets both at home and when out, but we typically only used Fitteds & Wool when we're at home.
However, I expect to
use AIOs when I'm outside of the home.
I find myself heading back to Thirsties» Cloth Diapering 101 all the time when I'm wondering about trying a different style (we mostly
use AIOs but when our daughter started going through changes in her diet and sleep habits, I thought about switching things up) or am simply wondering about the best way to wash the dipes.

Also if
you use an AIO diaper like Fishnoodles where the insert is detachable you can use Grovia Biosoakers in them as well since the cotton or bamboo will not become wet.
I love that you can choose how
you use this AIO.
I use AIO's (BG Elementals) when we go out, only because they're easier, and so my hubby can change the diapers, too At home I use bummis prefolds and wraps.
I tend to
use AIO when I am out in about (BG «Elementals») or FLIPS (because of how trim they are to pack).
I use prefolds at home and
use AIO or pocket diapers for trips out, travel and when others are caring for my son.
Last time I only
used aio's and since they weren't newborn they didn't fit very well.
Grandma loved
using AIO's with my first daughter, and I'm looking forward to adding more to my stash for baby # 2!

use AIO!
If you were planning to
use AIO diapers from birth until potty training, you'd spend a lot going from size to size.

using pocket diapers or
aio's, you will definitely want at least a few PUL covers in your stash.

I had been
using imagine newborn
aio, but I wanted something that would allow a little more growth for a newborn.
Normally, a diaper that is easy to
use at the changing table (
AIOs and pockets) is more difficult to wash.
Velour is usually
used on top of soakers / inserts and as the inner lining in fitteds and

use covers with inserts and prefold, and I love
AIOs.
Regardless of the system you
use (gdiapers, prefolds na dcovers,
AIOs, etc.), it is less harmful on the environment, becuase instead of 6000 diapers per child going to the landfill (which is the average for a newborn to potty train), only a couple of dozen (if that) go into the landfill, and that's AFTER you
use the cloth for all your children, something you can't do with ANBY disposables on the market.
They are all adorable - but I think
aio's or prefolds appeal to me for newborns for ease of
use and simplicity's sake.
Once a pocket is stuffed, it's as easy to
use as an
AIO or a disposable, and the moisture wicking fabric leaves the baby's skin feeling dry.
