My question is: would it be ok
the use Kilz primer before spray painting the counter top and for the finish touch what about a semi gloss polycrylic?
I always
use Kilz primer because that's what I've worked with before.
Finally, someone told me that since there had been wallpaper, I needed to
use kilz primer BEFORE the joint compound, instead of after, like everyone else had previously said.
When dry,
use Kilz spray primer.

I just taped off the floor and
used Kilz to prime the railing.
She ended up

I'm a huge fan of
KILZ 2 as well — that's what we
used on our brick fireplace a couple of years ago and the finish has held up wonderfully.
I would
use one of the water - based
KILZ primers.
Usually, we can seal over smoke in walls & trim with just
Kilz but for some reason,
Kilz doesn't handle the popcorn or texture as well so we
use Coverstain there.
I
use the spray can lacquer based
Kilz on knots, one or two quick coats, then prime the whole wall.
I always
use the Original
Kilz.
If I am
using white paint and the piece is really smelly and old, I brush on one coat of
Kilz original.

I liked this primer a lot, it's thinner than
kilz (which I usually
use) and I bought it on accident but it was a happy accident because it went on easy and dried fast.
