Kelp has iodine, so cats with HyperThyroidism should avoid using kelp and can instead
use wheatgrass.

use wheatgrass to detox, but it's also known to boost energy, partly because it's so high in protein.

For green color: I
used 1 teaspoon of
wheatgrass powder plus 1/8 teaspoon of green spirulina.
I've seen
wheatgrass at my local whole foods store but its not cheap and if you're
using a centrifugal juicer the majority of
wheatgrass is wasted.
You could probably
use any greens powder such of spirulina or chlorella if you have those instead of
wheatgrass, but I haven't tested those.
The other benefit to matcha powder is the fact that it
uses the whole leaf, so you get the chlorophyll, fiber, and other macro nutrients that you might not otherwise get by just
using brewed tea itself, although I see you make up for that with
wheatgrass powder.
If you don't have spirulina you can
use matcha powder, spinach or
wheatgrass to make the green layer.
While pregnant, I've given up on the stronger superfoods, like
wheatgrass and maca powder, but have continued to
use a few of my favorite products that I've been
using for a long time.
I
use frozen berries with 1 cup of coconut milk (or any seed / nut milk), 1 tb of maca powder, 1 tb of ground flaxseed, 1 tb of quinoa flakes, 1 tb of barleygrass or
wheatgrass powder, 1 tb of hemp protein powder, a handful of spinach or kale, and half an avocado works well too for extra creaminess, 1 - 2 medjool dates or dried figs for sweetness and a teaspoon of frozen ginger for a fiery kick to wake you up.
