When I made the original version, I
used a large
mixing bowl and stirred everything by
hand.
Since coconut milk in a can separates into water + cream
when chilled, I always blend it with an immersion blender (you can
use a regular blender,
hand mixer, or just whisk it) to get a smooth consistency before adding it to my batter.
But I
used a
hand mixer and they did flatten a little
when the dry ingredients were added, but it seemed to go just as it should.

Cooking Light shared a helpful tip for working with leaner ground beef:
when mixing the garlic and beef,
use a [silicone] spatula, instead of your
hands, so the heat from your

mixing food in his bowl with your
hand when he eats or lifting him by his skin (if he's not too heavy for you) like his mother
used to.
This allows you to
mix up what you're
using to suit your play style, though we found it incredibly useful to have at least one melee weapon on
hand for
when ammo did run low.
