use it in hot cocoa, smoothies
with cocoa, baking, basically
anything that has
chocolate or cocoa in it.
The timing of this recipe couldn't have been more opportune as I had half a rotisserie chicken in my fridge begging to be
used, I had one chipotle chili
with adobo sauce in a small container in the freezer from a previous recipe, and I had some leftover milk from my son's last visit (he loves milk
with his
chocolate -
anything).
If you want the hot
chocolate to be rich and smooth without little tiny
chocolate bits in it you can not
use anything less than cream to melt
with the
chocolate.
You can
use 60 % if you prefer it a little sweeter, or 80 % if you like more of a dark
chocolate flavor but I wouldn't
use anything with a higher than 80 %.
But feel free to
use your favorites and
anything you think goes
with chocolate.
Zucchini and black beans are my favourite to
use in
chocolate muffins / brownies / cakes /
anything with chocolate, but I had no black beans and one medium sized zucchini in my fridge — so zucchini and
chocolate it was.
I'm also planning to
use it as a spread on toast of pancakes or
anything else like that, plus I'm keen to try a
chocolate mousse made
with dates, avocados and cocoa powder... I love my date paste
Chocolate syrup (the kind meant to mix
with milk, but
used without the milk) covers up the taste of almost
anything.

What my brain is failing to realize is that as is the case
with chocolate, almost
anything can become unhealthy if it's not
used correctly and in moderation.
