Once I was out of tomato sauce and only had a can of chickpeas, so I made hummus to
use it as a pizza sauce.
I use it as a pizza sauce, as a dip, to top baked potatoes, to top soup, as a sauce with meat, basically everything except as a pasta sauce.
I use it as a pizza sauce, spread thickly over the focaccia base.
And then I freeze leftover sauce and
use it as pizza sauce, make turkey meatballs subs, etc..
Wow... funny thing is I usually buy the regular tomato paste shown above on the left and then add Italian seasonings to it before
using it as a pizza sauce for homemade mini pizzas for the kids....
