I will use also rum instead of bourbon (a) because I have it on hand and (b) because that's what we use to «burn bananas», as my kids say when they're asking for bananas foster.

When needing to get the popsicles out of the mold, you can run the cup under hot water like a normal person, real quick like, and pop it out that way or you can go action movie status like me and squeeze the cup, using the heat of your hand and shooting it out, making people jump.

(if you could call anything she did a «recipe» - she was one of those wonderful Beings who knew instinctively how to measure ingredients perfectly using anything that came to hand... the hand being the «container» most used!)

Slices of purchased candied ginger are usually completely covered with sugar: I used a fairly light hand when I sprinkled mine, and I chose demerara sugar for the final toss because I love the color, size, and taste of the crystals.
