I used an electric pressure cooker for this recipe.
I had never
used an electric pressure cooker before so I was intrigued to find out about how it would perform.
Used an electric pressure cooker (Instant Pot) and from experience know that taters in it take 10 minutes so I did the last part that way and it was done perfectly.
Every since I started
using my electric pressure cooker, or Instant Pot, I haven't touched my crockpot for anything other than to keep drinks and side dishes warm.
This applies to electric pressure cookers more than stove - top... I think, but
I use my electric pressure cooker to do many things — in the Summer — that are not necessarily time - saving, but to keep from adding heat to the kitchen: pasta for pasta salad is a big one as is potato salad.
Even if you've never
used an electric pressure cooker before, this book will make every step hassle - free, from understanding the control panel to cleaning the different parts of the cooker.

I just don't get the concept of
using convenience foods in a
pressure cooker, so I'm just not understanding the point of an
electric pressure cooker I guess.
The instructions on the package say to
use a slow
cooker, but since I think
cooking with an
electric pressure cooker far exceeds that of a slow
cooker with respect to tenderness and time, I went that route.
Heat the olive oil over high for the stovetop
pressure cooker or
use the browning setting for the
electric pressure cooker.
But, I could still
use some fresh ideas, which is why I happily accepted a complimentary copy of The Instant Pot ®

Set the
electric pressure cooker to sauté (or
use a large skillet).
