use instant coffee powder.
Then for the coffee flavor in our brownies we're
using instant coffee powder.
This cake
uses some instant coffee powder and cocoa powder, which gives it a very nice choco - coffee mocha taste.
I personally
used instant coffee powder to make my mocha but you may make your own mocha with your choice of coffee beans.
Whether you brewed this coffee from freshly ground beans or by
using instant coffee powder, reduce waste and soak your oats with it instead of dumping it down the drain.

Well, except that I only have medium eggs and extra-large eggs, so I
used one of each... and I only had 85 % cacao dark chocolate, no bittersweet, so I shorted the sugar a couple of tablespoons... and I added a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon and a quarter teaspoon of
instant coffee powder... none of which I would have expected to have this effect:

use instant coffee (the granules) rather than
instant espresso

We
used Ben & Jerry's pistachio and vanilla ice creams, Bonne Maman cherry preserves from Whole Foods, Starbucks Via
Instant Coffee Powder, Scharffen - Berger Bittersweet Chocolate and all everyone could say was... WOW!

powder as the original recipe called for, I
used the Starbucks Via Italian Roast
instant coffee packets.
I had been
using super finely ground
coffee beans in my brownies in lieu of
instant espresso
powder but making this recipe I finally see that it is not the same thing, presumably because the
instant powder dissolves.

instant coffee powder or espresso
powder (which is not really for drinking, it's a specialty ingredient
used in baking) in the house, I found this awesome hack by Bright Eyed Baker to DIY my own espresso
powder.
Mocha pudding — toss in 1/2 a teaspoon of your favorite
instant espresso
powder (do not
use strong brewed
coffee as the water content will alter the consistency) and
use Califia's black & white in place of the unsweetened almondmilk.
I
used instant coffee granules (I think they actually dissolve while baking)... I see no reason why you couldn't
use espresso
powder (as much / little to your liking)- or for those who don't like or can't have
coffee - leave it out altogether.
