Could probably
use more pace upfront in the form of Aubameyang, but higuain is a clinical finisher and he has improved immensely in the last two years, in his prime.

However, in order to both keep the model as simple as possible and give predictions that are in reality a best - case scenario, our model simply assumes that each household's income grows at a steady, fixed rate each year, that retirement savings grow and accumulate returns at a steady
pace, etc. (For
more detail on the values
used in the model for growth in home values, retirement assets, etc., see the Methodology Appendix below).

Per is very slow, I wish he was faster atimes but ppl under rate him a lot and please football is not all about
pace; Per plays with his brains and we tend to applaud players who play with
more aggression unfortunately he doesn't; I will
use an eg, if it was Per marking Hazard instead of Koscielny in d build up to the chelsea penalty, he would have probably gone backwards trying to stay on d right side of hazard so he doesn't shoot and narrowing d angle so that our goalie easily picks up d ball, that's how Per plays and to me that's subtle but intelligent option in that scenario but that style of play doesn't get plenty credit.
So why doesn't he plays Sanchez as our no 9??! He's way better, has the skill,
pace, work rate and finishing, all he needs is a little
more discipline in that role and he may be the +25 goal striker we've been waiting for, he carried Barca when Messi was injured so I don't see why he's not being
used as a striker ahead of Giroud.
If we had

using this format, with Welbeck as forward it even becomes

You could not be
more wrong about comparing paulinho to gambau, he is a brazil national team starter FFS and against roma he wad surely missed with his
pace and physicality but i think he is not a barca kind of player and he is not the best option for a big team like barcelona but still he is a good team player and we can
use him as back up for rotation

I've seen Ozil play the ball to Theos feet but Theo had started the run, Theo doesn't like balls into his feet as he is a runner... yet at Real he played balls in behind
more often due to having a consistency of

But I think it is
more likely that the manager is just not completely happy with his player, perhaps wanting him to contribute

• 09 Podolski — Under
used, best left foot in the squad, no good at chasing back • 10 Wilshere — Falls over a lot, injury prone, runs down blind alleys, spends
more time sitting on his arse waving his arms around than influencing the game • 14 Walcott — Quick, can change games with his
pace, improved his finishing, can't wait for him to be back to full fitness • 22 Sanogo — Looooooooool, that is all • 26 Martinez — Haven't seen enough of him to truly judge.
there would have been

Can't chuba akpom come from bench... i wud feel we shud give kid a chance... plus if we are to go 4 a «WC» striker we should first sell giroud... coz den he is of no
use... coz wud prefer walcot any time coz of his
pace and welbz coz he can hold up the ball in front «like» giroud plus he is a better runner nd confident his striking can only get better... 4 me giroud is of no
use to dis team coz we are developing into
more of a counter-attacking type wid help player like coq available... so better first get a DM which shud be our prime requirement....
playing with g - rod up front is like sticking to fingers up to traditional arsenal play of fast movement one twos and pass and move football this is very unlike wenger to make such a major shift away front his normal trends of style of play big man up front with no
pace just isn't the wenger way really he needs to go back to the past really to answer the current problem i have noticed all the other top 4 teams are
more wenger they are (wengerites to coin a phrase) than wenger himself playing with a big srtong pacey team like we
use to have they all copied wengers blueprint and left him behind somewhere along the line and he altered his and its not been the same since do nt change a winning system of power and
pace if it is was working for you mr wenger
We look for
more diagonal balls over the top if City defend high
using the
pace of Ox and Sanchez... Welbeck can keep up with them for the cutbacks or crosses.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen
pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach
pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have
used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the
more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a
more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to
use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to
use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
You should now see us start to stretch teams
more by the
use of
pace and we should also be a lot
more dangerous on the counter attack.
It looked like he was instructed to play
more centrally, instead of
using his
pace and skills in the wings.
I am not just talking about our wide forward either, although the boss does have a tricky choice on whether to
use the
pace, power and work rate of Danny Welbeck on the other side to Alexis Sanchez, or whether to go with a
more technical player like Santi Cazorla or Mesut Ozil.
Also, I think that he may see him as a big game player, when his
pace and counter attacking threat can be
more of
use in a tighter game instead of being wasted against a deep lying defence.
As a sole forward he does not offer hold up play or have the
pace to out run the opposition defense, which at present is the two attacking styles of the forwards we
use, his style of play is
more suited to a secondary striker role, which is hardly
used by arsenal at present.
Welbz and Theo could be good competition for the CF role and I would like to see how well our attack could perform when they are
use to having
pace upfront again instead of Giroud, I've tried my best to support the guy but he makes it hard This season he has proved me wrong and I am also questioning his effect on the team, he does moan a lot to the other players when he was the one who should of done
more... If it was Alexis moaning then I could understand it as that guy plays with 200 % passion but Giroud... Only time he shows passion is when he feels his starting spot is threatened.
Not only could they change their formation, but they could also change their style of play; they could either go long,
using both Grant Holt and Steve Morison as battering rams, or they could play the ball
more on the ground in a counter-attacking style
using the
pace of Simeon Jackson and the craft of Wes Hoolahan (who I'm contractually obliged to refer to as the «Irish Messi»).
Wenger should have instructed his players to play with
more width and get the ball behind the defenders
using the
pace of Walcott or Ox.
I think they both should be rotated considering they are both good......... but I would stick with bellerin for the games requiring
pace and wing play (can't let all that talent go to waste) and
use debuchy for the
more harder games
He has
more pace, allowing Ozil to
use his game
more by utilizing his defense splitting passes he can not
use on the slow Giroud, he is batter finisher and seems to have a better fighting spirit something in Giroud's defense only Sanchez seems to bring at the moment.
The second layer of this approach, however, is that if Nunes tries to defeat it by conserving energy
using a
more technical,
paced approach Shevchenko will likely have an advantage
Ozil will create
more assists with Theo as CF, but Theo has to learn the art of beating these offside traps... (its quite annoying how many times he gets caught offside)... he has the
pace, to beat almost every CB in the PL, he should
use it to his advantage.
At 29 years of age, he will gradually lose his
pace for those runs down the left wing, so I believe Wenger is going to be
using him
more and
more as a centre - back as time progresses, and defenders usually have a longer life span than any other players except keepers.
Real Sociedad's
used the player
more in an attacking role — emphasised by the 74 touches he's taken in the opposition penalty area this season — and while it leaves him exposed at times when it comes to defending, his
pace can get him out of trouble.
I can be frustrating at times because I write what I want and I wanted to highlight that 1) the game isn't just about
pace and desire as Wenger says 2) that the media needs to stand up to these managers because it infantilizes us fans and robs us of seeing games
more tactically and 3) because Arsenal are a deeply flawed team, managed by a guy who
used to be knows for fluid passing and movement, but which has recently dried up to the point that Arsenal can't even pass the ball around the worst defensive team in the League (Stoke).
We are a much better side with Flamini in instead of Arteta, the first half hour vs Newcastle was as good a tempo as weve played at and he was the driving force, I was a huge Arteta fan but I reallydont know what he brings to the table the way Wenger is
using him, hes lacking
pace and conceding
more and
more fouls in 50 / 50s, also he takes the speed out of our passing game with slow predictable backward passing, its fine when your ahead but kills us when we are chasing a win.
But then you could
use Firmino just behind Aubameyang and just add even
more Firepower and
Pace in attack!!!
You make good points Ttg, if all three lost their
pace who I will pick will depend on where I want them to play in my team, they will probably all be useless as wingers so I would pick Theo to play as a second striker in a 442 because Theo consistently makes the kind of short runs Townsend and, to an extent, Lennon can only dream of but if I must
use them as Wingers then I'd pick Lennon as he is
more two - footed and passes better than the other two.
Chelsea will be
more attacking and Liverpool will
use the counter attack to utilise the
pace of Sterling.
Cristiano Ronaldo
used to be a lot like Eden Hazard, talented with
pace, skill, and ball control, the only thing that was lacking was his goal scoring ability, now Ronaldo scores a lot
more goals, but not in the most respectful way, it's annoying to see him dive.
He now
uses his
pace a lot
more, he has
more goals to back up his talent.
Ashley young is always accused of going to ground quick but honestly your guys should copy him to avoid any leg breakage... I have seen him miss out on so many leg breaking tackles by jumping over reckless defenders... Wish
more teams would rather
use pace and skill than kick their way to 3 points...
With Denilson, we have a very good CM, very good in tackles and interceptions,
uses the ball very well, has
more pace than most of our CMs including Cesc, and when push comes to shove, he has several tricks up his sleeve to unleash.
Even
more so, his
pace is at a calibre that most defenders can't compete with, this is a great trait to have and he makes
use of it very well, causing havoc on the pitch is what he loves best and rarely ends in fail.
